Airplane Crash Nov 24, 2008

2301 was on the way to get fuel when the crew spotted a column of black smoke, in what looked to be in our district.  We started to the scene as we began to hear radio traffic of a downed aircraft at the Boulder Airport.

We arrived on scene as the plane and surrounding field were burning.

With the City of Boulder being the first toned, we worked with them as the second arriving engine, Mutual Aid.

It was determined that the plane was actually in Boulder Rurals' district.

A very lucky pilot had jumped from the plane and was uninjured.
